Our Story, From the Ground Up
A small company with deep roots and a big heart for agriculture.

From Our Family to Your Farm
Agricultural Data Systems, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business built on innovation and dedication. Founded by Carl Gennaro in 1989, our story began in a humble garage in Orange County, CA, where a passion for problem-solving laid the groundwork for our growth.

While exploring the potential of Dallas Semiconductor’s rugged new iButtons and readers, Carl had a simple but powerful realization while driving past a local strawberry farm: this technology could make tracking labor and production easier for growers everywhere. That insight sparked the creation of our original button-based system, which is still used by many of our customers today. Over the years, we've embraced new technologies while continuing to support the tools that built our foundation.

Today, Carl and his son Jonathan lead the company together, continuing their commitment to providing reliable agricultural data management. With a proven track record in tracking produce and farm labor, we specialize in crafting cost-effective solutions that simplify data collection and management.
